Dr. Noel Chavez, former Co-Director of the Center of Excellence in MCH and emerita faculty in Community Health Sciences received the Catherine Cowell Award from the Food and Nutrition Section of APHA on October 25, 2020. This award recognizes excellence and achievement in administration, planning, mentoring, and team building in public health nutrition, including meeting the special needs of urban populations and young children.
