About

Kiela K. Moreno is currently a first-year MPH student in the Community Health Sciences division with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health Epidemiology. She earned her Bachelor of Psychology degree from the University of Chicago in 2020.  In 2019, Kiela’s zeal for social justice inspired her to pledge Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Passionate about addressing the systemic barriers and inequities faced by the Black community, Kiela is active in community outreach and her  interests specifically lie in examining reproductive health services provided to women and understanding how access to these services can be improved in communities of color.

Currently, Kiela is a regulatory assistant at the University of Chicago’s Comprehensive Cancer Center.  In her free time, she volunteers as a crisis hotline operator for Sarah’s Inn & binge-watches the Real Housewives franchise.
