About

Lisset Perez Carapia is a current MPH student studying Maternal and Child Health. Lisset has dedicated most of her time to advocating for DACA students and the undocumented community. As a first-year MPH-MCH student, she hopes to completely immerse herself in her studies to develop
the skills necessary to become an expert in her field. Her interests within maternal and child health include reproductive rights of women, equitable and quality healthcare for undocumented women and children, and maternal health in the Latinx community.

In her future profession she hopes to be in a position in which she is able to advocate for women and children to improve their access to quality and equitable health care. Lisset would like to primarily work with immigrant women and children, regardless of immigration status. She wants to focus her career on ensuring that undocumented women, mothers, and children receive the preventative health care they deserve. Lisset is also very interested in conducting research.

Fun Fact- Lisset is currently on level 470 of Candy Crush and in the 5th grade she memorized the preamble to the US Constitution.
