About

Her professional and academic goals are centered on improving health outcomes for Black expecting mothers. She's committed to addressing critical issues such as Black maternal and infant mortality, postpartum depression, and health disparities. My passion lies in enhancing healthcare access and advocating for reproductive justice. After completing her Master of Public Health, Naomi plans to work in a field that aligns with these goals and further her impact in maternal and child health. Additionally, she aspires to pursue a PhD to deepen her expertise and contribute to transformative solutions in this vital area.

Fun Fact: Naomi graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana May 2024 and while at Xavier, she served as Executive Assistant of the Public Health Student Organization (PHSO). In April 2024, PHSO hosted their very first Public Health Conference (NOLA Collegiate Public Health Conference), founded by their PHSO President, curated towards students, professionals, and experts in the field of public health to share research, best practices, and innovations. The goal of this conference was to connect public health students across the city of New Orleans with peers, faculty, and professionals to foster a community committed to public health advancements and creating healthier communities annually.
