About
Hailey is currently a 2nd year MPH student with a Maternal and Child Health Concentration. During her undergraduate studies at DePaul University, she was a research assistant on a community-based pediatric study that explored causes of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in children. After graduating with her Bachelor Degree in 2018, she worked as a Behavioral Therapist for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other developmental disabilities. She also has previous experience being an in-home caregiver to children with disabilities.
Currently she is a Research Assistant on a community-based pediatric oral study, which examines social determinants of oral health in children, where she conducts in-home visits and collects qualitative data from families living in Cook County. She also is working as a Community Alignment Intern through Sinai Urban Health Institute, where she is assisting the Chicago Department of Public Health with the expansion of Family Connects Chicago, an universal postpartum in-home nurse visiting program. Additionally, she is a volunteer Case Manager for the Chicago Abortion Fund.
Hailey's areas of interest include Perinatal Health disparities and Reproductive Justice. She hopes to immerse herself into the field of Policy & Advocacy, focusing on addressing maternal and reproductive health inequities to spark larger, system-level changes.
