Daniela has assisted in the creation of New Mom’s group at Refugee One. She created and taught a health education curriculum for new refugees entering the United States. Currently, Daniel interns at the Adolescent Family Center at Rush providing sexual health education, prenatal care, and mental health services to youth 12-25 in Chicago.
She is interested in maternal health especially mental health surrounding pregnancy in immigrant, refugee, and BIPOC populations.
Daniela would love to work in an area that combines receiving mental health services with preventative health education for the clients.
Fun Fact- She’s also lived in Ghana for a year!
