As alumni of the UIC Center of Excellence (CoE) in MCH, you’ve joined a proud and growing group of leaders creating positive change in maternal and child health worldwide. Take some time to reconnect with the program and fellow alumni.
UIC MCH ALUMNI-STUDENT MENTOR PROGRAM
The UIC Center of Excellence in Maternal and Child Health (CoE-MCH) launched an alumni-student mentor program in Fall 2016. All second-year CoE-MCH MPH students are matched with a mentor for the duration of their MPH program. Students gain knowledge about the public health job market and the MCH field while receiving advice about professional and personal development opportunities. There is a strong focus on developing networking skills usable in pursuing specific career goals and interests. This program increases students’ self-awareness, and builds job-seeking skills and prepares them for their journey as they move toward becoming leaders in the MCH workforce.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Alumni can serve as mentors to current students through the UIC CoE- MCH Alumni-Mentor Program. If you are interested in becoming a mentor contact us at coemch@uic.edu . Also, UIC-SPH has volunteer opportunities that include being an Alumni Career Contact or an Alumni Recruitment Contact.
